Kota has two services that pull an insulation contractor in opposite directions. The Chambal Fertilisers complex at Gadepan runs high-pressure steam and reformer-area lines that need hot insulation, and ammonia circuits cold enough to require a carefully sealed cold system. The Kota Super Thermal Power Station needs steam-line, duct and boiler insulation renewed during overhauls, and the chemical and fertilizer units in the RIICO areas carry steam, condensate and refrigeration lines in varying states of repair.

Kota's pre-monsoon months are severely hot. For ammonia and chilled lines that means a high thickness to hold back heat gain and a continuous vapour barrier, since any gap will condense and ice up. Hot cladding in exposed areas must stay touchable in that same heat, and the monsoon arriving straight afterwards checks every cladding seam. The city is about 950 km from Bhosari by road, so we prefer to fix the scope from drawings, surveys and photographs, then dispatch everything together and plan the crew around the plant's turnaround or overhaul.

Typical specifications use calcium silicate or mineral wool for steam, reformer-area and process piping, and PUF, PIR or cellular glass for ammonia and other sub-zero duty, with aluminium cladding throughout. Thickness is calculated for each line's temperature and surroundings. Hot and Cold Insulation Services for Kota’s Industries

Kota’s industrial base includes the Kota Super Thermal Power Station, the Chambal Fertilisers complex at Gadepan, and long-established chemical and fertilizer units, with smaller engineering units in the RIICO industrial areas.

Most hot and cold insulation enquiries from Kota come from fertilizer complexes, power and co-generation plants and chemical and dyestuff plants, mainly in the RIICO industrial areas and the Gadepan fertilizer complex. What each of them typically needs:

• Fertilizer complexes: Steam lines need hot insulation, and ammonia lines need cold insulation.
